I submit for the viewer's pleasure, my personal subjective review of the "Smart Carry" holster system:

I actually ordered and subsequently received this unit well prior to receiving my latest CCW license. I received the holster promptly and, my initial impression was that it was very well made. I was looking for a system that would essentially provide me with deep concealment because my banker's hours requires absolutely 'zero-print'. I ordered the smaller Security V in order to fit the S&W J Frame, my preferred concealment sidearm for my day to day occupational demands. My male stature is medium and about 190# and I wear snug fitting business attire (tailored dress slacks, tucked in shirts and tie). The holster when worn correctly as per your instructions provides minimal print. However, minimal print was not good-enough considering that I am well known as a pistoleero from my prior days as a semi-pro competition shooter.

I went over the prior reviews and comments found both here and elsewhere and took some of the advice. I added a 6x8 piece of iron on denim fabric folded-into-thirds and hand stitched a custom ‘flap” on the top outside section of the actual holster section. My intent was to provide a flap that would peal away as I reached for the grip but, immediately prior to, the flap would help obscure the grip's outline. I understand that half or more of this print is in-my-head because I know what-is-there but, a majority of the time I am walking up to people while they are sitting at their desk thus, the grip's outline would be nearly at their eye level. I just didn't want the extra attention nor the anxiety of potentially being discovered in my normal business environment. Anyway, the modification works and works well. This is the only holster I wear M-F, 9-5. At home I slip into something a little more comforting, for instance my Alessi IWB and my custom hybrid 45 govt.

On a ten scale, I would conservatively rate this holster system as an 8.0. The installation of the custom fold-away flap to completely obscure the print places this system somewhere between an 8.5 to 9.0. It is almost an ideal holster system for wearing comfort, deep concealment and it performs well within its design intent. With practice, the draw can almost be as fast as any other concealment system. To be honest, I haven't considered this system for my 45 govt only because, the business clothing I am required to wear would be far too snug to allow for it. I only have so much room down there

Was it worth the money? Absolutely!

Thank you for such a great product! Have I got a review for you. Now I'm not one of the unfortunate many who've bought hundreds of dollars worth of holsters. I've never CCW. So when i bought my Ruger P90 I got to researching and found smart carry. I have several friends who work in LE and I thought they would be a great test to see if they knew I was CCW. Passed with flying colors. In fact later on in the day I asked a buddy, who had previously "passed the test", if I was packing. He said with confidence that indeed I was. Thing is... I wasn't. He was only guessing. Now on to my ultimate test. 18 holes of championship golf. We have a four star golf course here in Idaho called Falcon Crest. Locals will tell you it's a tough test of golf. I CCW with my smart carry for all 18 holes, shot an 85, and my father in-law and two other playing partners were none the wiser. Let me add that it was 85 degrees when I played and yes... I walked all 18 holes.

The simple design is what makes it work. I can wear it in florida weather and as many here know carry here is tough due to light clothing we wear.

After wearing your Smart Carry holster for the last month, I'm still amazed how comfortable and easy to conceal it is. I carry a Taurus PT145 and spare magazine. Most of the time I'm not even aware that I'm wearing the holster.

The first weekend I had it, I went on a 500 mile overnite motorcycle ride on my Vstar cruiser and was amazed how comfortable I could be carrying a large caliber pistol. Both days I wore the holster for 12-14 hours straight without discomfort.

It is the most comfortable holster I've ever used. I used to wear an Kydex inside waistband holster and various belt holsters. This usually required that I wear a size larger shirt with the tail untucked. I was constantly aware of the holster and always checking to be sure it wasn't exposed. With the Smart Carry, I just put it on and forget it.

I'll soon be ordering a ArmaLaser RSS laser for the rail on my PT145 and I'll need to order a custom holster from you. But, I don't mind, because I consider your holster the best on the market for concealed carry.

You're kidding me!! You have got to be kidding me!!! How can anything so simple be the perfect answer?? Guess the old adage is true "simple is better", whoever came up with this design is a real handgun carrier and a very inventive person. It covers about every situation imaginable for concealed carry. I wore mine for 12 hours the first day, almost forgot I had a handgun on me. And I just started to carry in the last month or so. I've been a police officer for over 15 years and have spent hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on holsters of every style and design in an attempt to find the "holy grail" of concealment holsters. I ran across your website while trying to find yet another concealment rig that would be discreet and comfortable (two words that I've found to diametrically opposed to each other in regards to concealing a firearm) to use this summer while wearing shorts and summer shirts. I've always had more problems putting my ensemble together than my wife did anytime we went anywhere. Winter time was not too bad, you can always throw on a sweatshirt to cover up your holster. Summer time has always been down-right miserable: IWB holster, undershirt to keep the skin on my side from getting chewed to pieces from my pistol, some kind of shirt, un-tucked, over that to conceal the holster and then sweating like I was in the 7th inner circle of Hades.

I browsed through your entire website, read the reviews, examined the photos and even watched some videos on youtube. Initially, I thought there was no way concealing a firearm in this manner could be remotely comfortable, especially for a guy. However, I was desperate to find something that worked and with your 60 day money back guarantee, I figured I had nothing to lose. However, I fully expected to be returning the holster within a week of receiving it. I placed my order and WOW you folks are quick! I had the holster shipped to my parents business, a Police and EMS Supply store, and my Dad was very amused at my recent purchase. My family and I were going out to eat that night. As soon as I got home I slipped into the bedroom before my wife did and donned the Smart Carry with shorts and a TUCKED IN shirt. As we were getting ready to leave, my wife asked me, "Are you not carrying your gun?". She hates the fact that I always have my shirt un-tucked, and frankly so do I, so she noticed right away. I told her not only was I carrying my gun but I also was carrying a spare magazine. She was obviously curious as to how this was possible and I asked her to try and figure out where it was. She looked me up and down and couldn't figure it out. Once I told her, I had to show her to make her believe it.

As far as comfortability, this holster is absolutely the best I've ever worn. It takes a little getting used to and some trial and error to find the best manner in which to wear the Smart Carry but all this was worked out in a couple of days for me. Just a few days after receiving the holster I had to make about a two hour road trip and was wondering how the Smart Carry would perform while driving for an extended period of time and all I can say is that it was outstanding. The Smart Carry was far more comfortable than any IWB holster I've ever worn and much easier to access while seat-belted in. A extra benefit of the Smart Carry is it also keeps your shirt tucked in for you like a Hidden Tailor, only better and badder.

Even beyond the physical comfort and just as important, for me anyway, is the mental comfort of not having to worry about your shirt riding up and exposing the butt of your weapon, or printing when you bend over or squat down. If the Smart Carry gets exposed, I probably have more important things to worry about because the exposure will come from EMS personnel cutting my pants off in the back of an ambulance. The construction of the holster is beyond excellent. Kudos to your seamstresses!

I'm an administrator for our department and ride a desk most of the time and have tried carrying a back-up weapon in an ankle holster but it has never really been comfortable enough to do on a daily basis and invariably my pants leg gets hiked up and snagged on the holster. The Smart Carry eliminates all of this. I don't even notice that its there, and more importantly, no one else does either. I've raised more than a few eyebrows when "showing off" the Smart Carry to fellow officers. So far no one has been able to spot it and they are quite intrigued when I finally show it to them.

I carry a weapon any time and every time I leave the house without exception. I've been using the Smart Carry for almost a month now and I wish I would have had one 15 years ago. It would have saved me a ton of money and a lot of discomfort over the years plus I can wear a shirt tucked in again. This is the best concealment holster design, bar none. It's comfortable, secure and ultra-discreet.

I have been using your holsters for several years now and there are none better. You are the best in quality, usability and most importantly,Customer Service. Your holsters hold up great. I wear mine day in, day out, 365/year, if I am not home, it is on my body and it has never failed me. Three years later it is still as stretchy and springy as the day I got it and it would still fit me great too if I hadn't put on so much weight.

My Ruger P345 and spare magazine are right where I need them to be should trouble arise and drawing the weapon is a smooth, easy action. Yours is a great product that easily could save my life some day. I don't think that I could imagine what I would do with out this thing. I would be lost. I have tried all of the other wrap around type holsters and "belly bands" and none of them are very comfortable if you need to wear them for any length of time. I can easily wear a Smart Carry all day long and unless I think about it, not know it is there. It is extremely comfortable, not at all sweaty nor is it scratchy or constricting. Simply stated, it wears like a piece of clothing that you would buy at a store for yourself.

Wow! Thanks so much. From the time I placed my order, I received my holster within 4 days. It is absolutely the best holster, hands down.

Here's the reasons why this is absolutely the best holster.

1. Retrieval. The way in which you've suggested to wear the holster is perfect, next to nothing to clear for a seamless presentation. I can't believe how quick this is as a total concealment holster.

2. Comfort/Wear. No pinching, no binding, no worrys if something is exposed. Complete movement with NO restrictions.

3. Concealment. Even with my .45, my gun is completely hidden. I can't tell you how many different systems I've tried. With other poor choices I've had in the past either the retrieval or comfort had to be sacrificed, but not with SmartCarry. I know that in the past my other rigs weren't 'concealed', either riding on my waistband pulling the slacks in a weird way (concealment give way). Or having it ride up over my waistband (who knows who may have seen it, before I realized it). Needing to readjust, holding my arm close to my weapon, etc., or any other 'TELLS' that tip my hand to the observant.

I just wanted to let you know how happy I am with my SmartCarry. I've been using it for about a month with my Makarov PM; while I haven't forgotten it's there, it is pretty comfortable and almost invisible.

As a "husky" guy (OK, fat) I had doubts about wearing and concealing a SmartCarry. As long as I adjust it correctly, however, I have no problems although it still feels like it's in the way when I bend forward.

I have never submitted a product comment before, in any circumstance, whether I was satisfied or dissatisfied. However, I have been using a SmartCarry for a concealed Sig P239 with spare mag for almost a year and I felt compelled to share my experience. I carry every day, for about twelve hours a day, and my job requires me to wear a shirt and tie with a blazer. My level of activity, however, is extremely variable and the blazer is often taken off while engaging in more physical and revealing activities. If anyone knew I was carrying, although completely legal, it would probably cost me my job. With the SmartCarry my 239 and spare mag are virtually undetectable. Even my wife, who knows I carry, cannot tell and often asks to make sure. The best part, though, is that I'm able to draw so quickly that it even surprises me. A quick and forceful tug on the front of my shirt from my pants reveals the butt of the pistol above the waistband for my dominant hand, which quickly and consistently facilitates a rapid draw. I can draw as quickly from a suit and fully tucked shirt with the SmartCarry as I can from an outside-waistband hip holster which is just under the coat. Additionally, the sidearm is completely shielded from perspiration. Sometimes when I take off the loaded SmartCarry and place it on the counter (while sitting on the Throne), condensation collects on the linoleum from the sweat that has been absorbed by the skin-layer of holster fabric. When I remove the weapon or mag, however, there is absolutely no moisture of any kind anywhere (even on the hottest and sweatiest days). I have rarely been as impressed and satisfied with any product as I am with SmartCarry, and I now estimate (based on the wear and tear of one year) that I'll probably go through about one a year. I will continue to buy one SmartCarry each year without fail until they pry my pistol from my cold, dead hand . . .

I have to tell you that this holster is the finest concealed carry holster I have ever seen. As soon as I got it in the mail (by the way was very fast) I strapped it on went downstairs to where my wife and 3 other people were gathered. I told them I was concealing my handgun. I asked them to point it out. Each one said I had it in the small of my back. My weapon was completely concealed. I must say I am extremely impressed with your holster. I got my holster yesterday and I've been wearing it ever since, mostly sitting down at my computer or outside reading while sitting on a beach chair. I must tell you first and foremost that your service, is like I've read from many others - is excellent. You where kind enough to trust me to purchase my holster with a credit card from Costa Rica, something that you don't normally do for obvious reasons and for which I am very grateful. I own two Milt Sparks inside the waist leather holsters that are beautifully done, but are not what you want if you want to carry a concealed weapon. It took something like 12 weeks for me to get the holsters from MS; on the other hand I ordered from you on the 17 of April in the evening and you had it in the mail on the 18th. The holster is everything you advertise; I have asked several people, including my neighbor who owns a security company and who has been trained by the Israelis and our own CIA, told him that I was carrying a nine and dared him to tell me where it was and he couldn't see it; I did the same thing with my other neighbors, both psychologist in their twenties and neither one could see it. I was wearing a T shirt and shorts and my trusted Walther P5 compact that becomes totally invisible, especially to the unsuspecting eye. I think that if you'll trust me once more to buy from here, I would like to purchase another holster for my 40 caliber Sig.

I have owned a SmartCarry holster now for five years, and I use it for long-distance cross country running with my G19. Yesterday I was attacked by two dogs, one of which bit my thigh, but it was easy drawing my gun in this predicament. Fortunately the dogs broke off the attack after being shouted at by a master in a nearby house and I didn't have to shoot.

Just wanted to thank you for making such a decent product available on the market. There's no more comfortable way of carrying a medium sized gun while running serious distances.

Received the holster yesterday (Saturday). Tried it on and put the Ruger P90 in it . Amazing, simply amazing. It disappears almost completely. And the best part is the weight distribution with the strapping makes it feel almost weightless. The longer I wore it the less I noticed I even had it on. I like this. I then tried it with a Colt Cobra .38 Special using the safety pins and it DOES disappear. You can't tell you are carrying one yourself since it hardly weighs anything to start with. Great Holster.

Ordered your holster about a month ago, ordered it on a Wednesday night and arrived here on Monday morning. Extremely fast service if you ask me! Anyway I prefer it over my original IWB Galco holster any day of the week. Deep concealment with everything that I wear, no longer will I have to dress around the holster which makes it easy with the upcoming summer months. My wife used to be able to tell when I was carrying, and now she has no idea and has to ask frequently.
