Charlie-

Thanks for your immediate attention. Turns out, I found it last night! It had been delivered to my office in a timely fashion, but my staff piled it with "junk mail." In any case, after reading all the info and quickly trying it on, my expectations have been exceeded in many ways...fit, finish, material, gun security, and concealment, to name a few.

Without a doubt, it will become my daily first choice of concealment holster! Thanks again for your service, and a fantastic concept/product.

Hi Charlie,

I have not even had my smartcarry for 1 week, but I had to tell you how thrilled I am with it! I go for my daily walk and don't even notice it is there. The other day I had to run errands and put on one of my other holsters just to satisfy my curiosity, and I could't wait to get home and take it off! With the smartcarry, however, I get home and leave it on for awhile. No problem. So THANKS again for a great product!

Hi Charlie!

I love my smartcarry. The comfort is amazing. If you had told me I could get my 92FS in these tight jeans undetected I would have cracked up.

Sending my friends to you.

Thanks Charlie!

Charles,

I received my holster today. I wore it during supper with the Star comfortably, then tried it with my Glock 23C, Raven (will have to pinch an inch at the bottom), Sig Sauer P229. All of them fit great and were impossible to see. This is the ultimate concealment holster if there ever was one. It is my new favorite holster. It's replacing all my Uncle Mike's holsters for these pieces. What size would I get for my Colt Commander 1991A1 and Beretta 96FS Centurion? They both have 4.5" barrels, I believe. Looks like a medium would fit the bill as the small is maybe an inch away from working.

Please let me know.

Again, great product.

Thank you for your time.

Hi Charlie,

I received the smartcarry today. First, THANK YOU for the great service! I ordered it late Sunday night and it is in my mailbox today! I put it on as soon as I opened it and am still wearing it as I write this email. I ran some errands, in and out of the car several times. Wow, I don't even notice it is there! When I walk around with it, it is so comfortable. What a great product you have! When my son sees it I know he will want one.If you want to put this in your testimonials, feel free. Just not my email address. THANKS again,

Thanks for the reply! I did receive the order today and let me tell you that this "holster" is by far the most comfortable that I've ever had!!! In the short time that I've worn it (around the house) I'm amazed at the comfort and concealment. I actually almost forgot that I had my pistol on me.

Sincerely,

SmartCarry ordered Monday arrived today, Thursday! It exceeds my expectations in both quality and functionality. Frankly, though I had read many recommendations by previous customers, I was a little skeptical.

I can't say how the SmartCarry might work with larger weapons, but my Kahr P9 and S&W 637 just disappear and I am confident that no one would even suspect that I am carrying a handgun. The holster is comfortable and does not inhibit my movement. It just works better than I would have thought possible. Thanks!

Hey Charlie,

Just a short note, you can pass along to the folks... When I first got the SmartCarry for my Firestar.40, I found it to be strange, not uncomfortable, just strange... But in about one day or two, it was accepted, comfortable, and in a very short time I had to pat myself to make sure whether I had it on or not.. Now, it's an ordinary, get up, and get dressed situation...

I read about the different ways Men could relieve themselves, and just need to add that in some cases, depending on just how low they are being worn, it isn't a move situation.. More like partially pull up, or "remove"...That being said, based on the size of my weapon, I just take a stall and remove the gun thru the fly, and believe it, or not, it is very easy.. Granted there are times a stall isn't available, but none the less, it's not difficult either way..

I just wear mine very low for a minimal print.. I recently added to my repertoir, and got the FireStar..45.. am adding another Smart Carry, to accomodate it.. that and the original one I bought is getting a little threadbare.. I don't know how long they usually last or are touted to last but I think I'll be replacing mine every two or three years.. Both guns are vertually the same size, and are interchangable in my holster..

There is only 1/2 inch difference in the overall length of the two and 1/8 inch difference at the widest part of the pistols..

Anyway, this is definately an Attaboy response about the Holsters... I genuinely like mine, and have had absolutely no problem with concealment or comfort..

I do, however say that it is not ever going to be a slap leather situation against anyone. I can get mine out in a matter of seconds, but wouldn't choose to try to out draw anyone... I am just trained to be aware, and if the situation arises, I have been know to have mine out, and on the ready...

Charlie,

I emailed you a week or so ago and discussed the problems I was having with my Smart Carry! Well I took your advice, and wear it as low as possible, which helped a lot. However the main problem I encountered was that there just wasn't enough room down there for me and it. I found that switching from Levi brand trousers to Lee made all the difference. The Lee's have a longer crotch and so it took care of the lack of room! I think you ought to tell this to any big men who purchase a Smart Carry from you. Mine is a custom B in medium. Since I have made these changes I can carry my SP101, my Glock 19 or other medium frame pistol or revolver without any problem.

I was that guy who am 6'4" and weigh it at 350lbs. With the belly overhang! Great holster. I am going to purchase another one in large this time for my .45...

Thanks for a great product,

January 15, 2010

I have owned a "Smart Carry" for a few years now and am very happy with it. Of particular importance is that I don't have to be dressed in jeans or dockers with a tee shirt or polo shirt with my shirt tails out in order to carry concealed. A very casual almost slovenly look.

With the "Smart Carry" I can wear dress pants, dress shirt and tie on the job or evening situation without calling attention to a side arm. It is totally undetectable by visual observation.

In cold weather we can all carry a side holster, but are forced to wear a jacket constantly which can get hot or look inappropriate when inside for any length of time with a winter jacket on.

Most importantly I don't have to keep checking to see that my gun is covered or that no one else in the restaurant has spotted the gun (which probably makes me look very suspicious for the wrong reasons).

I gave one to my son who is in law enforcement in California. He likes not having to leave his gun in the car when off duty and going into a store. (He doesn't want to frighten the other customers). He can also take my grandson to school without creating a commotion because now, no one can spot the gun on what looks like a civilian in a school zone with a gun.

I've got a box full of holsters and shoulder rigs that I no longer use.

Best regards to Charlie.

Thread-Topic: Only possible with a Smart Carry holster!

My wife and I go out for "walks" at least a few times per week. She is a power walker, and I can't keep up with her. But when I ride my unicycle we are well matched. I purchased your Smart Carry holster for when I needed to carry under circumstances when I couldn't use a more conventional holster. But, it wasn't until I tried wearing it while on my unicycle that I realized it gave me a way to safely carry while exercising with my wife.

I thought you might enjoy the picture. I don't think that any other holster would let me safely carry my Glock and a spare magazine while riding my unicycle. I'm sure that when I've lost my balance, my gun would fall out of any other holster, or belly band. But when I have fallen while wearing the Smart Carry, my Glock stays right where it should. This picture was taken on a day when the temps were in the 30s, but the gun stays well concealed even when I'm not so bundled up. Please understand I know how serious it is to carry concealed. Just because I'm on a unicycle doesn't mean that I'm taking that responsibility lightly. The point is, you never know when you might need to protect yourself or a loved one. Your product gives me that ability even when I ride my unicycle.

Thanks for making such a well thought out product. You are welcome to use the picture if you'd like, but please don't provide my name or city.

Best,

B. A. - Oregon

Hey Charlie-

Thanks for such a Great holster! I've had it since last summer and I wanted to thoroughly test it out before I commented on it. With this holster I am now able to comfortably run with my Glock 36 and a spare magazine. After having been attacked by a Rottweiler ( my dog was severely injured defending me ) I'm glad to say that I finally feel safe running again. I'd hate to have to use my weapon but sticks don't work, believe me, I know. Thank you for a great product and for making running possible for me again.

I got one of these holsters (white) after trying everything you can imagine for concealed carry and this is the best. I like to wear shorts and T-shirts in the summer and this is the ONLY way to carry and be invisible. I received my Smart Carry Security V, and I can't believe it. I was a little anxious about spending the money on a "non-standard" holster, but I am completely sold on this now. I am an average size man, 5'11" and 195 pounds, but I carry a Beretta 92FS (15 round double stack 9mm) and an extra mag comfortably without being detected. I can stand, sit, bend, etc... with very little complication. Granted, it took a little while to figure out exactly which positioning worked best for me (that's a lot of gun in not much space) but it works just like they say. Also a big "thank you" to Charlie for answering all of my questions.

I had put off getting a smartcarry, because I just did not think it would be comfortable. Boy was I wrong, this is the best holster for concealed carry I have worn. I have tried every way to carry, but nothing ever felt comfortable. I have worn the smartcarry now for several days. and I forget I am carrying a firearm. I bend, sit, all with no problems. And best of all, it disappears on you. you can tuck your shirt or wear it out. I love it.

I've had a few days to try my SC out, and I have to say, it is already my favorite holster. It conceals my XD .45 (4" service model) with only a slight bulge at the top of the pocket. I found one of my favorite things about the SC is that with a couple of safety pins it fits my Southpaw .38 like a glove. With my average frame, it is my only way to truly conceal the full size XD. Whether it is with a tucked in shirt and dress pants, or a t-shirt and gym shorts, the SC totally conceals my handgun. It's not the prettiest holster I own, but it is definitely the most functional.

Greetings:

Well, when I first got your Smart Carry I ordered, I looked at it and thought... "Hmmmm. I'm supposed to use that?" It looked like a strange pair of underwear.

However, after I first put it on and then made readjustments to it, I am now falling in love with it. I'm still trying to master keeping the strap from pulling up in back above my pants line in back, but after adjusting and readjusting where it falls in front, I think it is comfortable. In fact, I sit at a desk most of the day and usually take out Ruger 357 SP101 revolver out of my holster and put it in my desk, as the Galco holster digs into my stomach. I have been wearing the Smart Carry all day and haven't had a problem with the carry.

Obviously, since I am now carrying the weapon lower, I'll never win a quick draw contest. As we know, this isn't a likelihood and we have to make some choices about safety, comfort, etc., or each of us will pull out the revolver for comfort... forget it in a desk... a car... an office... and won't have a gun at all at our disposal if the need arises. I'd rather have safety, comfort, and reliability rather than a faster draw. That's just one man's opinion.

Hello,

I have had the Holster for a little while now and I am dumb founded by the fact that there could be negative reviews on the web about this holster. It does not matter what body type you have it is by far better than IWB and OWB in every way for comfort, deep concealment, and quick access not to mention extremely cheap compared to many other holsters that go for well over $100. IWB you have to untuck then use your thumb to hold up shirt while you draw with strong hand. I would have my gun drawn and unloaded before this happens with the smart carry. I draw much faster with this. I have had it on and no one has known. And when told I do they don't believe me until I pull out my weapon. Having said all that, if you want the best holster this is your best deal, hands down.
