SAFETY FIRST

Handling firearms can be an inherently dangerous activity and that includes the use of a concealed carry holster. The SmartCarry Concealed Holster is easy to use, but it takes practice. Please practice drawing and holstering your UNLOADED weapon in a variety of poses until you feel completely comfortable. You should be able to retrieve your weapon in only 1-3 seconds.



What size do i need?

When you click “Add to cart” a sizing form will pop up. Just fill that out and we’ll make sure you get the right size. Of course, if anything seems off just shoot us an email and we’ll help you out.

 

do i have to unzip my pants to access it?

For heaven’s sake, NO! The handle should sit just behind the waistband of your pants creating a slight gap to slide your hand in and grab it. If your pants are tighter you may need to pull the waistband out with your weak hand but with a bit of practice it should become one quick, smooth motion that is sure to surprise any ”bad guy”.



How do I.. uh… you know…. use the bathroom?

Much easier than you’d expect! For men; while standing just grab the front of the holster and twist it to the side. If that’s too difficult then you can loosen it a bit but typically that isn’t necessary. When you need to sit down just pull it up a little bit, you don’t need to take it off and don’t need to worry about it falling into the next stall.

For women; just pull it up before you sit down. That’s all.



can it only be worn in the front, apendix style?

Absolutely not! While it conceals best front and slightly off center, you can wear the SmartCarry holster anywhere around the waist. It is completely up to you. Every body is different and what works for some may not work for all. We suggest playing around with placement until you find your “sweet spot”.



How does it fasten?

Our old waistband style consisted of two overlapping straps that attached with Velcro. We found that there were a few problems with that style so in 2019 we upgraded to a single elastic band that feeds through a loop and folds back onto itself and attaches with Velcro.

This style is much easier to put on and get a snug fit, easier to adjust quickly if needed and has no exposed hook Velcro that can potentially scratch you or your clothing. We believe it is a far superior design (and so do the vast majority of our long-time customers) HOWEVER if you prefer the old style, we can accommodate you! Just email us and request the old straps and we’ll happily oblige.

 

I have a belly, is that a problem?

Nope! Not a problem at all, actually. It’s difficult to explain this one but you can find reviews on our Facebook page from some of our customers that would be considered “bigger guys”. Most are shocked at how easy and comfortable is.



Is it washable?

YES! All fabric SmartCarry holsters are machine washable and can even be dried in the dryer if necessary although we do recommend air drying to extend the life of the materials whenever possible.

Leather holster fronts can be cleaned with leather cleaner while the back can be cleaned with a damp, soapy cloth and allowed to air dry.
